I saw a pic of them in Klue magazine. The bassist dood was using his bass as a bow.
Maybe he's an archer by profession. Probably that's why the bass go

Somebody shoot the maharajah. I'm actually wincing listening to this! I swear.
Maybe ronzo you think I sengaja cari pasal with this... though I accepted your
review of my recommendations graciously. Before listening to this I really wanted
to have something good to say, so as to appear 'open-minded' but... I'm sorry...
even at the risk of alienating even more people, I simply cannot... this one is
just begging for it!!!

russian bowling... starts out innocently enough then the vocals come in incredulously
out of tune. I can't believe what sounds like a JASON LO rip-off ?!? Apparently that's
the fad these days (singing out-of-tune with the music), but it's hardly audible so that's
ok. Soon, the band not wanting to be left out, start losing their marbles. I say, when a
band has trouble deciding on a common key to play in, DO NOT PLAY. By 1:02 mins the whole
scam degenerates into an unrecognizable mess. Some people think this a good thing and the
mark of dynamic musicanship. Don't worry there's more to come. Lots. They are not sure how
to end the song either. At the end some voices trail off, chuckling...giving the impression
of 'geniuses at work'.

whole year inn... starts off promising like a Rolling Stone's number with harmonica.
Most tolerable of the lot but that's not saying much. As promised, rubbish guitar lick at
2:00 mins. Still plenty of those to go around. What's the deal. and check this out.. at
0.08 secs the drummer loses time on his COUNT!!!! Unbelievable!! (tip: this is because the
guitarist fails to come in on the beat causing hesitation on the part of the drummer) Don't
bother with another take, though! This is the magic that cannot be repeated!

Bullitt's Requiem... To this Bullitt would rightly say : Fu*k off! Pat Metheny is jazz!
Weather Report is jazz!! Yes even Steve McQueen was more jazzy than these jokers. Contrary
to popular belief, melody is actually CRUCIAL to jazz! Simply using horns and piano in a
psychotic manner does not qualify as 'freestyle-jazz'!!! Somebody listen to this and tell
me if they're going to be able to pull this off live!! You won't be able to tell if they
made a mistake anyway because the whole 'song' sounds like one BIG mistake that goes on too
long!!!

The mix is utter chaos. Whoever was at the faders must've had something against them.
Appalling!! Voice peaks on Whole Year Inn, bass peaks on Bullitt, levels keep shifting,
instruments are not clearly audible throughout, why why why?? What is the message behind
a horrible mix??

CONCLUSION
I am completely, absolutely confounded. Holy sh*t this is bad. They can't be serious.
You're pulling my leg , ronzo. You can't honestly like this, eh? Zappa himself would turn
in his grave!! I used to play music like this before I learnt how. You remember, when you
were five-yrs old and sat at the piano and just banged out stuff? This is it, your hit
record.

EPILOGUE
What's more preposterous is that they list AC/DC, Blue Oyster Cult, the Velvet Underground, Satriani, Cream, Slayer (?), etc. etc. as influences. Long list, some 'unexpected' entries like S.M. Salim, Faye Wong, and Siti Nurhaliza so that one'd think 'oh, they're so eccentric and diverse in their tastes'.... skip it.

Since it's a free download, I hope others will. I would really like to know if anybody thinks this is any good, and who.

After getting back from the loudest gig by The Datsuns here in Australia, I had my ears ringing the whole day. Feels like blood spurting outta the ear-funnel. It sucks.
I found a medicine to recover the pain. It was The Maharajah Commision. Simply insert the CD onto The stereo and play The tracks. The slow listening to the ultimately undistinctive unarrannged noises that was produce by The music reallocate the painful position of my eardrums back in The good order. It was disarrayed from The concert, but rearranged by The Mahajarah Commissions. It was The goodness. It was The 'thing'.

Subject: i heard i heard i heard everything!

finally heard your stuff after all the delay!!! i love the 2 EPs (or
whatever you'll call it), its real funny with an urgent sense of
spontaneity, havent seen anything with that sense of humour since FV and
of course granddads and mas, Sonic Youth...like your vocalist too, with
the alt-country twang( is he the guitarist you were telling me abt the
last time?). The sound in your new release is more refined and engineered
right? and also more soundscape and atmospheric... track2 was kept on
repeat mode, if i'm not wrong is love and fear? bad with track
names...hahah but that song is very nice. Smashing Pumpkins meets sonic
youth and dandy warhols. dandy warhols more for the other 2 EPs and other
sonds maybe... But i think the greatest thing i like abt MC is
yourspontaneity andthe fun you and your mates have, while putting out the
albums (esp the 2EPs). Keep the fun, guess it is the most important thing
now amidst all the worldly self-proclaimed sensibilities that's bringing
me down.

What sort of encoding is used? How high a quality? I'm asking because you
clearly are using a lot of "noise", but I'm not sure if some of what I'm hearing
is an encoding artifact, or a part of the music.

Actually, head phones help a lot on the clarity, but there seems to be some
high-pass distortion that would be consistent with a low bit-rate stream.

I think that's part of it, because the very ending you have that overtone
rich fade out, and I didn't get the high end very clearly.

So yes, when you have your CD, I'd be interested in hearing the final product as you intend it.
